Job summary

Gfoat's Monarch Recreation Center seeks a Child Watch Lead to supervise a shift, guide team members, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children while maintaining daily operations and excellent service for parents.

The Lead serves as the primary shift contact, coordinates with staff, supports onboarding and training, and ensures adherence to safety procedures and Child Watch policies, including sign-in/sign-out and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising children.
• Certifications: Babysitting Basics, CPR, AED, and First Aid within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: experience in childcare/recreation or similar, lead/supervisor experience, Advanced Childcare Certification.
• Substitution policy allows related experience or education to meet minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Child Watch operations, supervise staff, manage sign-in/sign-out and safety.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, coach staff, ensure space readiness.
• Handle escalated customer questions, complaints, and account adjustments per guidelines.
• Monitor spaces for cleanliness, safety and equipment use; ensure cleaning procedures are completed.
• Coordinate with Customer Service Coordinator and Membership Supervisor to provide updates and staffing support.
• Assist onboarding, shadowing and training of team members; reinforce policies and procedures.
• Remain accessible via cell phone to address issues or emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
