Job summary

Greater Green Bay YMCA is seeking a Child Watch Associate to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years. You will engage kids through age-appropriate activities, greet families, and maintain safety while supporting parents with check-in/out and program transitions.

The role requires warm interaction, ability to manage multiple ages, and adherence to safety and cleaning protocols in a fast-paced childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, babysitting, or group supervision preferred.
• Ability to positively engage with children across various ages.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with parents and coworkers.
• Able to stay calm, patient, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage children with age-appropriate activities to promote learning and creativity.
• Greet and warmly welcome families to build trust and inclusion.
• Monitor room safety with clear, age-appropriate expectations.
• Assist with check-in/check-out procedures to ensure child security.
• Provide care such as feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
• Track participation in YMCA programs and assist with transitions.
• Keep the area clean, sanitized, and organized per procedures.
