Job summary

The State of West Virginia seeks a senior supervisor to oversee a Child Support unit, directing staff and ensuring efficient case processing and policy compliance. You will train teams on federal/state policies, analyze complex financial data, and maintain quality service standards.

You will establish workflows, evaluate performance, and handle staffing logistics, including attendance and grievances. This role is located in the state’s Ohio County area and requires a car for mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• Four years of legal-setting experience including legal research and interpreting laws.
• Alternative: four years in debt collections, credit investigations, criminal investigations, or law enforcement.
• Or as Economic Service Worker/Child Support Technician with at least two years supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a local office or units in the Central Office supervising Child Support Specialists and staff.
• Train staff on changes in Federal, State, and BCSE policy concerning case processing.
• Perform high-complexity analytical assessments of case processing and financial data.
• Establish controls and quality assurance to ensure deadlines and quality service.
• Review attendance, leave, travel, and respond to grievances within mandated time frames.
• Plan unit meetings and staff conferences for development and growth.
