Job summary

The State of Georgia's Department of Human Services seeks a Child Support Services Agent 2 for the Elberton, GA area. This role focuses on establishing and enforcing child support obligations, locating non-custodial parents, and coordinating with legal and public agencies to protect Georgia's children.

Under broad supervision, you will manage a caseload, communicate with clients by phone and email, and conduct administrative hearings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of direct job-related experience.
• One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Child Support Services Agent 1 (SST060) or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establishes child support obligations and ensures that such obligations are met.
• Communicates with clients and other constituents via telephone, email, correspondence and direct contact to ensure that support obligations are met.
• Manages a caseload to ensure that child support obligations are met.
• Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
