Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a compassionate Direct Care Worker to support a young boy in Eau Claire, WI. You will provide close supervision at home and during local outings, with evenings and occasional weekend overnights.

Responsibilities include engaging in his activities, promoting outdoor time, assisting with hygiene, preparing meals, and administering medications when needed. CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with auto insurance.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Pet friendly environment for a child with an indoor cat.

Responsibilities

• Provide close supervision in and outside of the home.
• Engage with the child through his preferred activities.
• Encourage time outside the home with fun outings.
• Assist with hygiene (reminders to shower, help getting out of the shower).
• Prep meals when parents are away during mealtimes.
• Administer medication within medication windows.

Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a kind, enthusiastic, patient (but firm) provider with an energetic personality who can keep up with a young boy in Eau Claire, WI. If you love building connections and bringing joy and routine to a child's day, we would love to hear from you!

Schedule & Pay: Location: Eau Claire, WI; Care provided in the child's home and local outings; Schedule: Evenings-4pm-10pm (up to 10hrs/week); Weekend overnights (as needed); Hourly Pay: $14.13; Overnight Pay: $207.45.
