Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network in Menomonie, WI seeks a compassionate Direct Care Worker to support an active child in home and community settings. The role emphasizes your energy, reliability, and ability to engage in sports and play while ensuring daily routines and safety.

You will assist with getting ready for school, transportation when needed, and fostering positive routines through structured but fun activities. This is a part-time position with weekday afternoon hours.

Qualifications

• Background checks required (caregiver and criminal).
• Reliable transportation to client homes and community activities.
• Ability to obtain or hold valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Help child stay on task while getting ready for school/daycare.
• Provide reminders for dressing, brushing teeth, and gathering belongings.
• Assist with getting to school bus or occasional transportation.
• Help with transitions from school/daycare to home.
• Prepare or serve simple snacks or meals.
• Engage in active play at home or in the local community.
• Support bedtime routine with reminders and encouragement.

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We're looking for an energetic, reliable, and engaging childcare provider to support an active child at home and in the local community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with energetic children. The child loves sports and physical activities, and the ideal provider will be excited to actively participate in fun activities with him.

Students or individuals pursuing degrees in education, child development, social work, or related fields are encouraged to apply, though all qualified applicants with a passion for working with children are welcome.

Schedule

• Thursday Afternoon 4-7:30PM
• oOccasional additional on-call opportunities if interested

Compensation

$14.13/Hr
