Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools' Minneapolis Kids program seeks a Program Coordinator at Loring to lead childcare operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality programming for school-age children.

Under general supervision, you will collaborate with the Program Manager, manage schedules, monitor DHS compliance, and communicate with families to support safe, engaging after-school experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development or related field; AND two years of experience coordinating preschool or school-age programs including directing staff
• Knowledge of DHS rules and regulations and ability to interpret state/federal requirements
• Experience coordinating program operations, budgeting, and parent communication

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and supports quality programming.
• Coordinates staff work, schedules, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensures child safety and supervision per DHS requirements.
• Oversees curriculum planning and daily activity schedules.
• Manages program supplies, equipment, and site budget.
• Maintains parent communication through reports, notes, and newsletters.
