Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to prepare home-style, nutritious meals for students while adhering to the school's menu, budget, and state and federal requirements. As a Food Specialist, you will create meals and snacks for children and staff, follow the daily menu, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed.

This role emphasizes health, safety, organization, and teamwork, with a Monday-Friday schedule and opportunities for education assistance and tuition

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking for childcare facilities.
• Willingness to learn and follow state/local regulations.
• Flexibility in hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• At home in the kitchen! Create home-style, nutritious meals within the school's menu and budget, and prepare meals/snacks for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director which includes USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
