Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA credential preferred.
• At least 18 years old.
• One year of childcare experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (can be obtained during training).
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening.
• Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at all times, ensuring a safe environment for play and learning.
• Supervise and train assistants in room policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Create and implement lesson plans.
• Complete necessary classroom reports and daily child reports.
• Attend staff meetings outside of regular hours.
• Provide positive feedback to parents and communicate with students, parents, and professionals.
• Adhere to DFPS regulations and Archdiocese policies; maintain confidentiality.
• Support and uphold Catholic education and the school’s mission.
