The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking an experienced childcare professional for the 2026-2027 school year. Earn $17.50–$18.50 per hour while engaging with children in a fun, inclusive setting and building strong community connections.

Responsibilities include planning curriculum, observing child development, coordinating with parents, maintaining records, supervising staff, and supporting annual donor campaigns.

Qualifications

• Degree in education or human services from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years verified child care experience (2500 hours).
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and trainings.

Responsabilités

• Develop engaging ways to help kids learn while maintaining safe, supportive environments.
• Implement and plan curriculum for program with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Record weekly child observations and address behavior concerns with families.
• Communicate progress with parents in writing and verbally, keeping confidentiality.
• Maintain attendance, contact binders, and allergy records; manage paperwork timely.
• Ensure learning centers have quality materials and organized containers.
• Attend team-planning meetings monthly or more as needed.
• Campaign for Annual Campaign and help develop donors/volunteers.
• Supervise all staff on site.
