The Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida is seeking a Child Behavior Specialist to support childcare providers, staff, and families with behavioral interventions and community outreach. This role involves on-site visits, direct support, and collaboration with directors, teachers, and parents to promote positive child outcomes.

Competenze

• A degree or equivalent experience in child development or related field is required.
• Experience in early learning settings is preferred.
• Background checks and valid driver license may be required.

Mansioni

• Provide direct support to childcare providers, staff, and the public to implement Coalition initiatives via conferences, meetings and community events.
• Respond quickly to requests to address behaviors that may risk child or adult safety.
• Push into classrooms or meet with children in chosen environments to engage in therapeutic play and interventions.
• Remain on-site until the child is mainstreamed back into learning.
• Conduct on-site follow-ups with children previously served by the Child Services team.
• Participate in parent meetings to communicate concerns and recap interventions.
• Engage with families to discuss resources and transition options if needed.
• Provide behavior-focused learning and professional development for early educators and staff.
• Conduct child observations in response to Warmline requests or EC3 support.

Formazione

Associate’s degree in psychology, human behavior, early childhood education, social work, or related field

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years’ related program experience
