Chileda Institute Inc. seeks an Education Behavior Specialist to collaboratively support students with cognitive and behavior challenges.

The role involves implementing individualized behavior programming, leading social skills groups, and conducting functional behavior assessments to guide IEP and Treatment Plans. Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating with residential specialists, and ensuring accurate data tracking while integrating trauma-informed care throughout classroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
• Coursework or experience in applied behavior analysis preferred.
• Knowledge of PBSPs and behavioral data collection preferred.
• Must demonstrate ability to train staff and implement behavior plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teacher to structure classroom for educational and behavioral goals.
• Oversee PBSP implementation and collaborate with supervising teacher.
• Complete functional behavior assessments and set behavioral goals for IEP/Treatment Plan.
• Conduct Discrete Trial Training sessions when needed and train staff.
• Provide staff training on behavior programs and perform fidelity checks.
• Collaborate with residential behavior specialists on data reports for quarterly meetings.
• Ensure treatment plan goals align with family and case managers.
