Job summary

ECS4Kids seeks a Behavior Specialist to develop and provide behavior intervention services for children showing challenging behaviors, ensuring social-emotional development and classroom success while adhering to Head Start standards.

The role involves conducting FBAs, designing and supervising BIPs, training teachers and staff, and collaborating with families and specialists to promote school readiness across Florida sites.

Qualifications

• BCaBA certification with 8-hour supervision training preferred.
• Option for candidates with APBA/ABAI-accredited bachelor’s program plus fieldwork.
• Experience working with children with special needs and early childhood education required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct FBAs to identify factors behind challenging behaviors.
• Implement and oversee behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Supervise RBTs under BCBA supervision where applicable.
• Coordinate with teachers and families to apply behavior plans in classrooms.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on data and assessment findings.
• Provide staff training on behavior management techniques.
