Job summary

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. in Daytona Beach, FL, is seeking a full-time Behavioral Support Specialist to implement behavioral support services for children's social and emotional development.

You will support the Behavior & Inclusion Team and related managers in delivering effective care. The role involves administering screenings, maintaining confidential records, collaborating with teachers and parents, and providing staff training on behavior management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, guidance counseling, or related field.
Three years of experience in mental health or behavior analysis, preferably with young children.
Valid Florida driver’s license and insurability; background checks as required.

Responsibilities

Administers, scores, and interprets behavior screenings completed by parents at enrollment.
Maintains confidential mental health records and documents in ChildPlus.net.
Provides behavior interventions and models strategies to support children's social/emotional skills.
Collaborates with teachers, parents, and staff to implement Classroom Behavior Plans (CBP).
Trains staff on behavior management and mental health needs.
