Job summary

SC Department of Children's Advocacy is seeking a dedicated Case Worker to support case management, court preparation and advocacy for children in the guardian ad litem program. The role emphasizes confidentiality, collaboration with courts and child-serving agencies, and ongoing training.

The position requires strong communication, discretion, and the ability to work under limited supervision while managing multiple tasks and volunteer coordination efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information.
• Experience coordinating with volunteers and partners."
• Knowledge of child welfare and GAL program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for victims of abuse in the assigned circuit under supervision.
• Maintains program knowledge and accurate case files.
• Develops relationships with DSS, Family Court and partner agencies.
• Assist the coordinator with supervision and recruitment of volunteers.
• Complete special assignments as needed by supervisor.
