Job summary

SC Department of Children’s Advocacy is seeking an experienced Case Worker to provide day-to-day case management, court preparation, and advocacy for abused or neglected children within the circuit.

Under supervision, you will coordinate with the Guardian ad Litem program staff, social services, and courts, train volunteers, and ensure compliance with state laws and agency best practices while handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to train and supervise volunteers.
• Knowledge of computer applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct advocacy for victims of abuse/neglect within the assigned circuit to ensure best interests of children.
• Provide day-to-day case management and court preparation.
• Assist in supervising volunteers and coordinating training sessions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with DSS, Family Court, and child-serving agencies.
• Follow applicable laws and Guardian ad Litem program best practices.
