Job summary

City of Maypearl’s Water Utility seeks a Chief Business Officer-Water (CBO) to lead strategic planning, budget accountability, and financial stewardship across key accounts, contract programs, and metering services. You will shape long-range plans and monitor performance to ensure safe, reliable water delivery.

You will collaborate with the Director team and senior leadership to drive operational excellence, adherence to regulations, and cost-efficient service while fostering positive community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the water utility industry, municipal government, or related field.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, certifications, and licenses acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution to achieve Water Utility objectives.
• Oversee Metering Services, data management, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage Business Operations, procurement, contracting, and intergovernmental relations.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Engage with community stakeholders, Council, and regulatory agencies; represent the Utility.
