Pedestal Health, a Highlands Health company, is seeking a Head of Technology in Durham, NC. You will lead data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and IT/security programs, driving scalable data platforms and ensuring strong data governance across health system partners.

You will partner with Product, Quantitative Sciences, and Health Systems teams to align architecture with business goals, manage budgets, and mentor engineering leaders in a high-growth environment that blends clinical data,

Qualifications

• 12+ years in engineering with leadership of multi-team organizations.
• Experience working with healthcare data and health systems.
• Experience owning engineering budget and cloud spend.
• Experience supporting ML/LLM workloads in production.

Responsabilités

• Set strategy and architecture for acquiring clinical data from health system partners.
• Oversee data de-identification, tokenization, and privacy partnerships.
• Define data quality standards and measurable accuracy across datasets.
• Ensure data handling meets HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2 requirements.
• Lead platform and AI/ML readiness with scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Set operating rhythm, budget, and vendor contracts; partner with cross-functional teams.
