Job summary

Pivotal Health is seeking a Head of Data Engineering to own the platform, architecture, and team behind our end-to-end data infrastructure in a healthcare reimbursement context.

You will lead a systems-minded, code-first engineering organization focusing on CI/CD, scalability, and maintainable data systems, building tools for the entire software team to publish and consume data. Remote/hybrid options available in LA/NY regions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/data infrastructure with proven platform ownership.
• Experience inheriting an existing architecture and scaling it.
• Strong code-first approach to data architectures (streaming, lakehouses, containers).

Responsibilities

• Evolve and scale data infrastructure with modern patterns and cloud-native tools.
• Build and lead a software engineering team focused on data pipelines and databases internals.
• Provide infrastructure/platform APIs for product teams to own their models and schemas.
