LUMA Energy seeks a senior engineering leader to drive the full lifecycle of T&D system planning, asset engineering, and design delivery across capital and O&M programs. You will unify Planning, Asset Engineering, Design Engineering, and Grid Modernization to ensure safety, reliability, and resilience of Puerto Rico’s grid.

The role requires deep technical authority, cross-functional leadership, and regulatory expertise to align engineering work with enterprise objectives and FEMA/DOE funding

Qualifications

• 18 years of progressive engineering leadership in transmission and/or distribution utility environments.
• Deep expertise across planning, design engineering, asset engineering, and protection & control.
• Strong knowledge of NERC, IEEE, NEC, NESC, and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Directs enterprise T&D system planning and interconnection assessments to support long-term asset strategy.
• Leads engineering design delivery for capital programs and ensures standards compliance.
• Oversees protection philosophy, SCADA, and grid modernization technologies to improve reliability.
• Governs engineering standards, governance, and regulatory alignment across the enterprise.
• Advises executive leadership on high-stakes decisions and enterprise risk management.
