Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY, seeks an accomplished academic pathologist to serve as Chief of Surgical Pathology. This leadership role guides a nationally distinguished program within an NCI-designated center dedicated to diagnostic excellence, translational discovery, and multidisciplinary cancer care.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree with Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology.
• Leadership experience in surgical pathology is required.
• Experience leading translational research and multidisciplinary oncology initiatives.
• Commitment to mentorship, faculty development, and academic leadership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with clinical and scientific teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Surgical Pathology Service and set long-term priorities.
• Deliver expert diagnostic interpretation across complex oncologic cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams across surgery, medical and radiation oncology.
• Support innovative diagnostic approaches and quality initiatives.
• Develop translational research programs and mentor faculty, fellows, and students.
