The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Academic Surgical Pathologist to join a nationally recognized cancer center dedicated to advancing diagnostic excellence, translational research, and academic innovation in oncologic pathology.
The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative and subspecialized pathology team providing diagnostic services and translational research support to outstanding clinical and scientific faculty within a collegial academic environment. This role offers exposure to a broad spectrum of complex and intellectually engaging oncologic pathology cases, including both in‑house and consultation material, while providing meaningful opportunities for academic growth, education, and independent research development.

The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is nationally recognized for excellence in oncologic pathology, translational research, molecular diagnostics, and academic medicine. The department is organized into six divisions including Anatomic Pathology, Hematopathology, Laboratory Medicine, Molecular Pathology, Pathology Outreach, and Informatics, each led by dedicated Vice Chairs focused on advancing innovation and clinical excellence.
As part of an NCI‑Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, faculty work within a deeply collaborative academic environment supporting groundbreaking cancer research, precision oncology initiatives, and multidisciplinary patient care.
License and Certification Requirement
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
