Job summary

The Carrie Meek Foundation in Miami is seeking a senior leader to guide program strategy and fundraising across Education, Health, Housing, and Economic Development. Reporting to the CEO, this role sits on the executive leadership team and oversees budget for programs and development.

You will build partnerships, secure resources, and translate legacy into action through measurable, fundable programs that advance South Florida communities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in nonprofit program management and development.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, and grant writing.
• Senior leadership with staff supervision experience.
• Experience presenting to a Board of Directors.
• Passion for community impact and mission-driven work.

Responsibilities

• Lead program strategy across Economic Development, Education, Health, and Housing.
• Align mission, goals, and funding opportunities.
• Develop and implement fundraising plans and donor cultivation.
• Build high-level partnerships and external positioning for the Foundation.
• Develop narrative for grants and communications; report program impact.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives and events; manage budget for programs and development team.
• Oversee marketing, communications, and staff development.
