The Carrie Meek Foundation, Inc. is seeking an experienced operations and finance leader to build the internal backbone that supports our grant program, budgets, compliance, and daily functions.
You'll establish office administration systems, manage budgets and financial reporting, support grant writing, and oversee HR and IT tooling to ensure rigorous, mission-driven operations in Miami-Dade County.
The Carrie Meek Foundation carries forward the work of Congresswoman Carrie Meek — the first Black Floridian since Reconstruction elected to Congress and a lifelong advocate for the communities of Miami-Dade County. Her legacy lives on through the Foundation's work across Education, Housing, Health, and Economic Development, and through initiatives like the Carrie Meek Aviation Workforce Innovation Center and the Supporting Safer Communities Grant Program, which is putting millions of dollars directly into neighborhood-level safety and opportunity. As the Foundation grows its footprint and its grant portfolio, it needs someone who can build the internal infrastructure to match the scale of that ambition. This is a foundational role: you won't just be managing budgets and compliance; you'll be building the systems that let a mission-driven, community-rooted organization operate with the rigor its funders and the families it serves deserve. If you want your operations and finance expertise to directly enable programs that are changing outcomes in Miami-Dade, this is that role.
Builds the internal backbone of the organization for systems, processes, compliance, and day-to-day functioning. It ensures administrative support, financial infrastructure, and grant compliance.
