Job summary

Trinity Health MercyOne is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer to lead strategic planning, business development, and population health across the MercyOne network. This executive will partner with the CEO, attend board meetings, and guide system-wide initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.

Ideal candidates will have 10–15 years in corporate development or strategic planning within healthcare, with multi-hospital and payer experience. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of related business experience in corporate development, consulting, strategic planning or financial planning, preferably in healthcare.
• Multi-hospital experience and experience with medical group or health insurance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the healthcare environment and strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as business strategy partner for MercyOne CEO.
• Oversee and implement an integrated strategic planning process.
• Lead efforts to create an integrated delivery system across the continuum of care.
• Develop new ventures and major programs within the region.
• Work with M&A teams on significant transactions to support growth.
