Job summary

Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission seeks an experienced Director of Service Plaza Operations at the Berea Administration Building. You will provide strategic leadership for 14 plazas, directing operations, staffing, budgeting, and contract management to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience overseeing complex, multi-site operations.
• Experience in regional or senior management roles is preferred.
• Experience with concessions and/or public-private partnerships.
• Experience developing and managing budgets and financial operations.
• Demonstrated experience in people management and leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.
• Valid State of Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily Service Plaza operations across all locations.
• Lead Service Plaza management, staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Develop and manage the department budget and monitor financial performance.
• Manage contracts, leases, concessions, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiency, service, safety and revenue.
• Develop SOPs and operating policies for consistency across plazas.
• Coordinate communications during events and emergencies.
