Job summary

Albers Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer for Sensors in the United States. You will serve as the Chief Engineer, guiding architecture, design, and production transition of advanced sensor systems across IR/EO, LiDAR, RF, and multi-sensor platforms.

The role requires leadership across multidisciplinary teams, hands-on development, and the ability to balance performance, schedule, cost, and producibility in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, RF Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership of complex sensor or electronic system development.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through qualification and production transition.
• Strong background in EO/IR, LiDAR, RF, or related sensing technologies and broad sensor-system understanding.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Chief Engineer/technical authority for sensor development programs from concept to production transition.
• Develop sensor system architectures, requirements, interfaces, performance budgets, and baselines.
• Lead design and development of sensing technologies including IR/EO, LRF/LiDAR, RF, and multi-sensor architectures.
• Provide hands-on technical support during prototype, lab testing, and system integration.
