Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a strategic senior leader to govern system-wide security and safety programs across facilities. You will lead a team of directors, set KPIs, manage budgets, and coordinate with clinical and administrative partners to ensure a safe environment of care.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years in security or safety with leadership, and healthcare experience preferred. Master’s degree and CPP/CHPA/CHEP certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Relevant professional certification (CPP/CHPA/CHEP) preferred.
• Ten years of progressively responsible security/public safety experience with at least eight years in leadership.
• Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides governance for system-wide security and safety programs.
• Directs and evaluates leaders; sets reporting relationships and goals.
• Develops multi-year security strategies and KPIs across facilities.
• Oversees daily security operations, staffing, and incident response.
• Leads enterprise security risk assessments and technology investments.
• Partners with clinical and HR teams on workplace safety initiatives.
• Provides executive oversight of incidents and investigations.
• Coordinates security drills and emergency preparedness with leaders.
• Ensures regulatory and accreditation readiness and training.
• Develops budgets and manages expenditures and vendor performance.
• Acts as liaison to law enforcement and community safety partners.
• Reports on risk, staffing, and program effectiveness to leadership.
