Job summary

MultiCare Health System seeks a Director of Security to lead the development and execution of comprehensive security programs across the system. You will guide embedded security leaders, set strategies, metrics and SLAs, and ensure regulatory readiness in alignment with Joint Commission standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of healthcare security experience, 5 years in management, and a Washington Driver’s License. Master’s degree preferred; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Eight (8) years of progressive experience in security, preferably in a large healthcare system.
• Five (5) years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Current Washington State Driver’s License; ability to obtain verification as needed.
• Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator or other security certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the development, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive security programs for MultiCare Health System.
• Provide leadership to embedded security leaders across highly matrixed teams; establish strategies, metrics and service level agreements.
• Ensure regulatory readiness/compliance (Joint Commission, state and federal requirements) and cost-effective security operations.
