Job summary

Capital Health, the region's leader in patient care, seeks a strategic security executive to oversee system-wide security and safety programs. You will direct leaders, set priorities, and align with clinical and operations teams to protect patients, staff, and facilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years in security, with healthcare experience preferred. You will manage budgets, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate with local, state, and federal partners to maintain

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in security or safety management.
• Leadership experience overseeing managers or directors.
• Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and operational governance for system-wide security and safety programs.
• Directs and coaches the Director, Security Operations and other leaders.
• Establishes security strategies, policies, and KPIs across facilities and departments.
• Oversees daily security operations, staffing, contracts, and incident response.
• Leads risk assessments, technology investments, and capital priorities.
• Partners with clinical and admin stakeholders on safety initiatives.
• Handles serious incidents with appropriate coordination and confidentiality.
• Drives security training, reporting, and continuous improvement across locations.
