Job summary

Confidential seeks a strategic Head of Security to oversee protection of its diverse real estate portfolio, including corporate HQ, premium retail apartments, and high-traffic mixed-use spaces. The role leads a vendor-provided security team and drives a robust security culture across sites.

The incumbent will manage advanced surveillance protocols, incident response, and emergency planning, coordinating with local law enforcement and legal teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Law enforcement background in LAPD and LASD; familiarity with LA crime trends.
• Extensive surveillance experience with VMS and analytics for threat detection.
• Minimum 5-7 years in corporate/private security leadership across multi-site properties.
• Experience overseeing third-party security vendors, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Excellent communication; ability to draft incident reports and liaise with executives and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Vendor & Team Management: oversee outsourced guard force, audit performance, uphold standards.
• Surveillance Operations: design and maintain CCTV, access control, and proactive monitoring.
• Multi-Site Asset Protection: tailor security for corporate office, retail/residential, and mixed-use spaces.
• Incident Response & Investigations: lead investigations and coordinate with law enforcement.
• Emergency Preparedness: develop and drill emergency action plans for staff, tenants, and occupants.
