Akamai is seeking a Vice President of Sales for Public Sector (U.S. and Canada) to lead a world-class sales team from a remote setting in the United States.

You will drive revenue growth across Federal, SLED and Canadian government markets, partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact results. You will bring 15+ years of SaaS/cybersecurity sales leadership, manage large quota-bearing teams exceeding $100M, and navigate FAR/DFARS alongside contract vehicles and security

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant SaaS/Cybersecurity sales experience.
• Experience managing public sector sales teams with quotas above $100M.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, contracting vehicles, and government security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a multi-year GTM strategy for Public Sector growth with accountable quotas, pipeline and forecasting.
• Oversee the Public Sector channel team and drive co-sell with government aggregators and federal VARs.
• Partner with global engineering/product leadership to prioritize GovTech roadmaps and GovCloud architecture.
• Direct strategy for government contracts (GSA MAS, NASA) ensuring Federal compliance (FedRAMP, IL4/5/6).
• Recruit, coach and retain high-performing sales directors and channel managers across Federal/SLED.
• Act as executive sponsor on complex government procurements and build relationships with senior agency stakeholders.
