Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a seasoned sales leader for Public Sector, driving growth across Federal, SLED and Canadian government markets while partnering with engineering and product teams on prioritized features and GovCloud roadmaps.

You will recruit and mentor a high-performing team of sales directors, field AE, and channel managers, ensuring alignment with federal compliance requirements and complex procurements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years SaaS/cybersecurity sales experience.
• Experience leading public sector sales teams with targets >$100M revenue.
• Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS, contracting vehicles, and security frameworks.
• Ability to align engineering roadmaps with revenue growth.
• US citizenship and security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).

Responsibilities

• Define and implement multi-year GTM strategy for Public Sector growth with quotas, pipeline, and forecasting.
• Oversee Public Sector channel team, drive co-sell with government aggregators and VARs.
• Partner with engineering/product to prioritize public-sector features and GovCloud roadmaps.
• Direct strategy for major government contracts (GSA MAS, NASA) with FedRAMP compliance.
• Recruit, coach, and retain sales directors, field AE, and channel managers across Federal/SLED.
• Serve as executive sponsor on complex government procurements with senior agency stakeholders.
• collaborate with internal divisions to execute Public Sector strategy.
