Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a production leader to scale high-rate manufacturing with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and cost control. The role will manage manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, and logistics to support rapid product growth and new line rollouts.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in large-scale production, experience with defens e customers, and a Bachelor’s in engineering (advanced degree preferred). A startup mindset with discipline is required for success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in scaled production, preferably in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale, high-volume manufacturing operations, with safety, quality, and cost-efficiency focus.
• Experience with government and defense customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead production team from concept through high-rate production, prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Build and grow shop floor engineering teams and manufacturing personnel.
• Define capacity models and scaling standards across Ursa Major.
• Drive continuous improvement to meet safety and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with engineering to align production requirements with early design.
