Job summary

Ursa Major, based in Colorado, is seeking a Senior Technician to advance propulsion and defense systems from development to production readiness. You will work alongside engineering and manufacturing teams, applying a safety-first mindset and attention to detail to deliver reliable components.

This role offers opportunities for progression, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration across disciplines. A strong background in mechanical assembly, testing, and process documentation is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technician with progressing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated aptitude for deep problem solving.
• Self-starter with initiative and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions with engineering overview.
• Create processes to expedite programs with engineering oversight as necessary.
• Document processes with high level of rigor.
• Perform first article build/test/inspections alongside design and manufacturing engineers.
• Provide technical expertise to failure investigations.
• Own and maintain multiple systems from conception to production.
• Present on work up to Director of Operations level.
• Support presenters with technical expertise at executive level.
