Job summary

Self Enhancement, Inc. is seeking a Chief Program Officer to lead Youth Services, Community & Family Programs, and Resident & Wrap-Around Services in Portland. You will translate strategic growth into program priorities, supervise senior directors, and ensure integrated, culturally grounded services for youth and families.

You’ll oversee budgets and compliance, partner with districts and providers, and drive program design and evaluation to advance SEI’s mission and long-term impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive program leadership experience.
• Experience leading culturally specific programs serving African American communities.
• Ability to lead, develop, and retain staff in culturally specific organizations.
• Knowledge of nonprofit fiscal operations and government funding rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for three SEI departments and set program priorities.
• Supervise directors and ensure coordinated, high-quality services.
• Translate 10-Year Growth Plan into measurable program goals.
• Design and launch Resident & Wrap-Around Services with community partners.
• Oversee budgets, contracts, and compliance reporting.
