Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking a Program Chief Engineer for the Electronic Warfare Systems / Advanced Systems product line. The role leads the engineering team through system lifecycles, ensuring technical and schedule execution while coordinating with vendors and customers.

The candidate will shape program strategy, supervise IPTs, and ensure discipline across design engineering. Onsite role with travel ~10% and a strong emphasis on MBSE and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in airborne and electronic warfare design, use‑case development, operational analysis, integration/testing, or system qualification.
• Experience as a Lead Design Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, IPT Lead, Cross Product Team lead, or related Engineering Lead.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government clearance after start.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution of the entire program, overseeing technical, schedule, and financial aspects.
• Establish and manage program vision, strategy, and goals to align with customer requirements.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across all IPTs, CPTs, and disciplines.
• Serve as the primary technical POC with the customer senior technical counterparts.
• Guide digital engineering / Model‑Based strategy for the product and program.
