Job summary

RTX's Electronic Warfare Systems is seeking an Associate Director Chief Engineer in Ft Wayne, IN to lead engineering across multiple programs, guiding system design, schedule, and cost. The role requires a strong background in airborne EW systems and cross-disciplinary leadership.

You will partner with discipline leaders, mentor engineers, and serve as the technical POC with the customer, with travel up to 10% and on-site emphasis.

Security clearance and U.S. citizenship are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in airborne EW systems design, use-case development, operational analysis, integration/test and/or system qualification.
• Experience as a Lead Design/Systems Engineer or IPT lead.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution for multiple programs, overseeing technical, schedule, and financial aspects.
• Establish and manage program vision, strategy, and goals aligned with customer requirements.
• Serve as primary technical POC with customer senior technical counterparts.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across IPTs and disciplines.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
• Travel as needed (~10%).
