Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a senior privacy and data protection leader in New York to direct the enterprise privacy program and ensure compliance with GLBA, Regulation S-P, and state privacy laws. You will collaborate with Compliance, IT, Legal, and Risk to embed privacy into products, processes, and customer experiences.

The role requires 15+ years in privacy leadership within regulated financial services. You will oversee risk assessments, audits, data subject rights, and AI governance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in privacy, compliance, or risk management.
• Deep understanding of GLBA, Regulation S-P and state privacy requirements.
• Experience in highly regulated financial services (broker-dealer/RIAs).

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously enhance enterprise privacy and data protection program.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Embed privacy risk in business processes, technology, products, and experiences.
• Partner with Compliance, Cybersecurity, Legal, Internal Audit, and business leaders.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report privacy-related risks enterprise-wide.
• Lead privacy risk assessments, PIAs, and control evaluations.
• Develop metrics and monitor KPI's for privacy program.
• Oversee regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation efforts.
• Lead AI governance, assess AI risk, and oversee data subject rights processes.
