Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President to lead enterprise AI governance and risk management, overseeing the AI risk program across the firm. This builder-operator role partners with business, technology, and control functions to ensure defensible AI practices within a regulated landscape.

The incumbent will drive risk assessments, establish governance standards, and communicate AI risk to executives, while maturing the risk operating model and KPI tracking across risk & compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, governance or a related control function, preferably within a regulated financial institution.
• 2+ years in AI risk management, governance or compliance-related roles.
• Prior leadership experience with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the AI governance framework, policies and standards in alignment with current and emerging regulatory landscape.
• Oversee risk assessments and gap analyses on AI solutions to identify risks and ensure policy compliance.
• Define and challenge control expectations for AI development and deployment across cybersecurity and technology governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI models align with risk frameworks and requirements.
• Help mature AI risk and governance operating model and track key risk indicators.
