Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Head of PMO & Product Operations to build and run the operating backbone for a multi-team organization. You will own how work flows, how capacity is planned, and how to connect with dependent units to scale delivery.

A leadership team will rely on your PMO to drive repeatable execution across domains. You will lead a team of program managers and operations associates, shaping an operating model and governance that unites strategy with on-the-ground delivery, while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience required.
At least 10 years of project management experience.
At least 5 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

Own the operating model for the organization: how priorities are set, capacity planned, and work sequenced and tracked across teams.
Drive efficiency and capacity management across the system: identify bottlenecks, rebalancing load, ensure resourcing matches priorities.
Design and run planning cycles, governance forums, reporting cadences for leadership visibility into delivery health, risk, and tradeoffs.
Serve as the connective layer between this organization and interconnecting units: align dependencies, surface cross-org risks, broker tradeoffs.
Lead and develop a team of program and project managers and operations associates, setting standards and tools to manage complex work.
Partner with senior stakeholders to translate strategy into executable plans and refine as priorities shift.
Build scalable, repeatable processes to reduce firefighting and improve predictability.
