Qualifications

• Six years of increasingly responsible experience in water treatment, production, distribution operations, and regulatory compliance, with at least two years in lead/supervisory roles.
• SWRCB Grade T3 Water Treatment Operator and Grade D3 Water Distribution Operator certificates required at time of appointment.
• CPR/First Aid certification required at time of appointment; T4/D4 certificates within twelve months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of Systems Operators and assigned personnel.
• Oversee groundwater production, treatment, storage, and distribution facilities.
• Monitor system production, storage levels, pressures, pumping efficiencies, and water demands.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate reporting and inspections.
• Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs; manage capital projects.
• Represent District in meetings with regulatory agencies and the public; serve as Chief Plant Operator and oversee water quality monitoring and operator certifications.
