Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona is seeking a Chief Development Officer to set the strategic direction of the organization’s fundraising and to lead the Development team. The CDO will oversee planning and implementation of all development activities in support of Habitat and its core funding areas.

The CDO will work with individual, corporate, and civic supporters to secure revenue for long-term sustainability, manage a twelve-person team, and collaborate with the CEO and board on engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• More than five years of senior development leadership experience.
• 10+ years of progressive fundraising experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual contributed revenue goals.
• Forecast a 3–5 year revenue strategy to support Habitat’s construction projects.
• Lead a team of twelve development professionals.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-capacity donors for leadership gifts.
• Oversee revenue-generating special events and initiatives (Blueprints/Blue Jeans).
• Partner with the CEO and board to craft board engagement and fundraising strategies.
