Job summary

AM General seeks a seasoned HR leader to drive enterprise HR strategy across multiple sites and unionized operations. You will advise the executive team on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and culture while guiding modernization, analytics, and governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities include labor relations leadership, contract strategy, succession planning, and building a high-performance workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership in multi-site, unionized environments.
• Proven labor relations leadership with experience negotiating contracts.
• Ability to influence executives and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen and data-informed decision making.

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive an enterprise HR strategy aligned with objectives and workforce needs.
• Serve as senior advisor to the executive team on organizational effectiveness and culture.
• Lead HR modernization, automation, and standardization across HR systems and analytics.
• Ensure regulatory, ethical, and data governance alignment in HR initiatives.
• Provide executive leadership for labor relations and union partnerships.
• Design negotiation strategies and contract administration practices.
• Oversee adherence to collective bargaining agreements across locations.
• Develop leadership capabilities and succession planning for a multi-site workforce.
• Drive frontline leadership development and performance management culture.
• Lead enterprise engagement to foster safety, accountability, and excellence.
• Ensure inclusive workforce communication and employee experience aligned with values.
• Oversee compliance with labor laws, OSHA, and internal policies.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Operations, and Finance to modernize controls and integrity.
• Support ethics, investigations, and reporting mechanisms to reinforce a speak-up culture.
