KIPP TEAM & Family Schools is seeking a Chief People Officer to lead the end-to-end employee experience across Newark, Camden, Paterson, and South Florida. You will shape talent strategy, oversee five HR functions, and partner with regional leaders to drive growth while embedding the network's Be the Change values.

You’ll transform HR systems, analytics, and AI-enabled processes to support growth from 11,000 students toward 15,000 by 2030, ensuring equity and staff retention across four cities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR or talent leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role overseeing multiple HR functions
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and payroll across multiple states
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence senior leaders and boards
• Willingness to travel regularly between Newark, Camden, Paterson, and South Florida

Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year people strategy and embed the network's values into talent systems
• Lead recruitment across regions to hire high-quality talent
• Develop and implement leadership pathways and professional development for teachers and staff
• Modernize HR systems and payroll across two states including analytics and AI tools
• Oversee employee relations, policies, and compliance across regions
• Build pay and performance systems to recognize strong performers and enable growth
