Job summary

KIPP TEAM & Family Schools seeks a Chief People Officer to own the end-to-end employee experience across Newark, Camden, Paterson, and South Florida. You will design the people strategy, align HR systems with our Be the Change values, and lead five functional leaders to support teachers, leaders, and staff.

You will modernize HR operations, implement workforce analytics including AI tools, and shape compensation, development, and performance management to sustain rapid growth toward our 2030

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR or talent leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role overseeing multiple HR functions.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and payroll across multiple states.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence senior leaders and boards.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Newark, Camden, Paterson, and South Florida

Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year people strategy and lead organizational design and workforce planning.
• Embed values and key behaviors into talent systems across the network.
• Develop and refine recruitment strategies to hire mission-aligned teachers and leaders.
• Modernize HR systems and leverage analytics/AI for proactive workforce planning.
• Oversee compensation and performance management with executives and regional leaders.
