Galvanize USA seeks a Director of People and Culture to lead our people operations as we grow past 40 employees. This role will coach managers, implement scalable processes, and align culture with strategy to build a healthy, high-performing workplace.

The position emphasizes data-driven improvements, collaboration with leadership, and ownership of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding within a remote-first, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen HR strategy with feedback loops for hiring, engaging, developing, and retaining talent.
• Support people managers and optimize performance management to drive accountability.
• Design and lead strategic initiatives focused on values of innovation, equity, community, teamwork, learning, and care.
• Lead change management with buy-in and adoption of new processes.
• Craft learning and development programs to empower staff to reach goals.
• Deliver manager and organization-wide trainings.
• Coach and mentor to foster empathy, listening, and feedback across differences.
• Design systems supporting growth from recruitment to offboarding.
• Create moments for connection through team retreats and all-team meetings.
• Assist team with understanding benefits, including sabbatical planning.
