Job summary

PrimaryMD is seeking a Director of Operations to run the day-to-day of the practice across New York City and San Francisco, reporting to the founder and CEO. This role combines frontline operational leadership with strategic playbook development to enable rapid expansion into new markets.

You will own staffing, scheduling, vendor management, and back-office systems, ensuring a seamless member experience and high-touch service across both coasts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in healthcare operations inside a medical practice, health system, or healthcare startup.

Responsibilities

• Run Day-to-Day Operations Across Both Markets: NY and SF with staffing, scheduling, tooling, escalations.
• Build the Copy-Paste Playbook: document SOPs and standardize workflows for scalable growth.
• Deliver a Member Experience Worth the Membership: own hospitality, onboarding, and premium service standards.
• Be the Operational Backbone Behind Clinical Care: partner with physicians and clinical leadership to keep workflows tight.
• Run Our Spaces and Our Back Office: manage offices, vendors, HR, facilities, and compliance.
• Lead and Grow the Ops Team: set priorities, coach, and expand the operations org.
