Job summary

Lake Superior Community Health Center seeks a COO to lead and mentor staff across clinic sites, implement efficient operations, and drive cost-effective results aligned with the mission. The role reports to the CEO and shapes growth, budgeting, and quality goals while ensuring HRSA compliance.

The COO will supervise clinic managers, collaborate on strategic plans, and oversee telehealth, facilities, IT, and risk management initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a clinic director or administrator.
• 10+ years of management experience with HR/supervision/mentoring.
• Strong understanding of finance, HR, and operations management.
• Experience in strategic planning and business development.
• Excellent written, oral, and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience with managing complex budgets.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business operations strategies, plans, and procedures.
• Oversee operations of the organization.
• Establish policies that promote vision and culture; update to meet requirements.
• Set performance and growth goals with KPI tracking.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships.
• Collaborate with HR to improve staffing and retention.
• Work with CEO on strategic plan implementation.
• Lead budgeting targets for patient visits and staffing.
• Mentor clinic managers to ensure efficient operations.
• Lead process improvements for efficient patient care.
• Oversee safety and emergency preparedness activities.
