Opry Entertainment Group in Austin seeks a Vice President of Operations to provide strategic vision and financial leadership for Block 21, overseeing ACL Live, 3TEN, W Hotel, retail, offices, residences, and parking. The role drives growth, profitability, and flawless execution across all units.

You will lead long-range objectives, capital planning, and asset management while collaborating with Marriott, sales, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business with Entertainment/Hospitality/Operations Management emphasis or related discipline preferred.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years' progressively responsible operations leadership in entertainment venue and/or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate, long-range financial objectives and supporting plans to meet or exceed projected goals.
• Review monthly and annual financial statements, sales and activity reports for each business unit to measure productivity and goal achievement.
• Lead annual operating and capital planning activities for each Block 21 business unit and present plans to the OEG Board of Directors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with governmental agencies, promoters, lobbyists, and tourism officials to benefit the Block 21 development.
• Define and implement KPIs, drive continuous improvement, efficiency, innovation, and customer service.
• Provide guidance to entertainment and lodging leaders by defining priorities and opportunities for improvement.
• Serve as primary contact for Marriott International regarding financial, capital, employee, and HOA oversight through asset management practices.
• Partner with concert and artist relations leadership to increase concerts and profitability.
• Maximize use of venue catering and event spaces in conjunction with ACL Live and W Hotel sales teams.
• Collaborate with Business Development to execute sponsorship and growth plans.
• Involve in recruiting, hiring, and developing team members for future growth.
• Identify complementary growth opportunities in the Austin market.
